Training Philosophy

The philosophy at Beast Mode Running is very simple. I believe that the training plan should fit the runner. Every member of the Beast Mode Running team gets a personalized plan to fit their goals and their life. I believe that, with a positive mind set and an adequate training plan (and of course a good pair of shoes), you can accomplish your goals.

I have 16 years of competitive running experience, and 5 years coaching experience. I offer a variety of ways that we can work together including a virtual coaching option.

Run Fearless is our racing mantra. We believe that if you commit to your training and come into your race mentally and physically prepared, you will reach your goals. Everyone has nerves and jitters but you must rely on the work and Run Fearless!

My goal as a coach and our goal as a team is to be mentally and physically prepared for race day. We do this with an idea of progressive stress and cumulative fatigue. I believe that if you run at race pace for  moderate to long distances, increasing gradually you will be both mentally and physically prepared for holding that pace on race day.

Lastly I believe that a coach and a philosophy are only as successful as they are pliable and fluid. I work closely with my athletes to make sure that the plan is formed around their lifestyle in order to provide the greatest opportunity for success.
